Project Manager - ESS

Role Overview

Project Managers will be responsible for overseeing the execution of electronic security systems (ESS) projects across the full project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction. Depending on level, responsibilities may range from supporting project execution to leading large-scale, complex deployments and managing multiple stakeholders.

This role requires strong coordination skills, technical aptitude, construction awareness, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support or lead end-to-end delivery of electronic security systems projects from initiation through closeout
• Manage or contribute to scope, schedule, budget, cost, and quality performance across assigned projects
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure aligned execution
• Oversee or support deployment of physical security technologies including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and perimeter security systems
• Participate in design reviews, system integration, documentation validation, and commissioning activities
• Support construction coordination including field verification, site readiness, sequencing, and issue/risk identification
• Manage or support client communication, project reporting, milestone tracking, and successful project turnover and closeout

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3–5+ years (depending on level) of project management experience in construction, technology deployment, or ESS environments
• Experience working with structured project delivery methodologies
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Client-facing experience in professional or enterprise environments
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electronic security systems or low-voltage technology deployments
• Familiarity with enterprise physical security platforms and integrations
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials
• Experience managing large-scale or multi-site deployments
• Background in commercial construction environments or technical infrastructure projects
