Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end beverage product development projects from concept to launch
  • Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (R&D, production, regulatory, marketing)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders

Beverage Product Development Oversight:

  • Oversee formulation and development of beverage products (e.g. juices, carbonated drinks, dairy, functional beverages)
  • Guide product testing, sensory evaluation, and prototype validation
  • Ensure product quality, consistency, and scalability
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities without compromising product standards

Regulatory & Compliance Management:

  • Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, SON, Codex Alimentarius, and relevant standards
  • Coordinate product registration, labelling approvals, and documentation
  • Oversee implementation of HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 standards
  • Conduct compliance checks and mitigate regulatory risks

Manufacturing & Scale-Up Coordination:

  • Support transition from pilot production to full-scale manufacturing
  • Coordinate process design and production readiness with manufacturing teams
  • Oversee development of SOPs for production, quality control, and operations
  • Monitor production efficiency and recommend improvements

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead client engagements and manage expectations throughout project lifecycle
  • Translate technical outputs into clear business and commercial recommendations
  • Support proposals, presentations, and project reporting
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes aligned with client objectives

Commercial & Go-To-Market Support

  • Support product positioning and go-to-market strategies
  • Validate product claims in line with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on product launch execution.

Team Coordination & Knowledge Management:

  • Work closely with internal technical teams and external partners
  • Document project learnings, frameworks, and best practices
  • Support mentoring of junior team members where required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 4–6 years’ experience in beverage product development, manufacturing, or project management
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end product development or innovation projects
  • Strong understanding of beverage formulations, processing, and scale-up operations
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks (NAFDAC, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000)
  • Experience in FMCG, beverage companies, or consulting environments is highly preferred.

Technical & Core Competencies:

  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Knowledge of beverage formulation and production processes
