Project Manager with GCP Data Engineering Background

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in data engineering and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will lead cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy robust data pipelines and analytics solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-lifecycle development of scalable GCP data architectures (batch and streaming).
• Guide development using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Composer.
• Facilitate sprints, manage backlogs in Jira/Confluence, and remove impediments.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to define requirements and data governance.
• Monitor and optimize data system performance, cost, and security.
• Lead initiatives for migrating on-premise data environments to GCP.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT Project/Program Management.
• Demonstrated experience with GCP data products.
• Solid grasp of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and warehousing.
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification.
• Background in software development (Python/SQL)
