Your Contribution to a Positive Impact
The Project Manager leverages their leadership, management, and communication skills to ensure the success of projects. They plan, lead, and control project variables (budget, timelines, quality, etc.) from initiation through to closure. They coordinate and support the team in achieving expected results.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of clients’ project objectives and scope, and be responsible for delivering the GIRO promise (both contractually and functionally)
- Ensure proactive communication with stakeholders
- Manage project budgets and schedules (deliverables, milestones, client responsibilities, etc.)
- Identify and assess risks, and propose solutions to prevent or mitigate their impacts
- Communicate resource needs to the Project Director (sponsor)
- Ensure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the projects and are regularly informed of project status
- Coordinate the activities of all project participants and ensure task execution
- Negotiate change requests submitted by clients
- Close projects (project close-out report, retrospective meeting, etc.)
- Document projects and apply internal project management processes and standards
The Skills That Will Make You a Key Pillar of Our Team
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager in a client‑facing environment
- Experience in a software implementation environment
- University degree in a relevant discipline (project management, engineering, operations research, mathematics‑computer science, etc.)
- Knowledge of Windows®, Azure DevOps Server, MS Project (an asset)
- Strong project management and complex problem‑solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders (internal/external, decision‑makers/operational) and successfully lead the various implementation phases (needs analysis, configuration, client training, and follow‑up)
- Ability to identify new business opportunities
- Willingness to travel occasionally as opportunities arise
- Interest in developing in‑depth knowledge of the postal services industry
- Motivation to stay current with the latest trends in the field
- Ability and willingness to learn how our GeoRoute software works, in order to understand its features and value for clients
- Strong organizational skills and autonomy
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team
- Proven interpersonal skills
- Bilingualism (spoken and written) in French and English (regular interactions with English‑speaking internal and/or external clients)
