We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to oversee and deliver impactful life science building projects.
In this role, based at our client's project site in Baltimore, MD, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients' visions to life. Your responsibilities will include: • Analyzing data and producing detailed reports, meeting minutes, and project correspondence. • Assisting in the formulation and oversight of project budgets, schedules, and controls. • Coordinating effectively with Construction Managers and offering on-site management as necessary. • Employing proven project management techniques to enhance project value and minimize delivery costs. • Fostering effective communication and collaboration to tackle project challenges.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture. • 7-12 years of experience with large-scale building construction projects. • Expertise in Life Sciences or research laboratory projects. • Strong understanding of design and construction principles, with the ability to interpret construction drawings and perform necessary construction administration tasks. • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Effective organizational skills and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Solid knowledge of construction contracts and strategies for risk mitigation. • Familiarity with fast-track project delivery methods, such as Construction Manager at Risk. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and online project management platforms like ACC Build, E-Builder, Procore, or PM Web. • Experience with construction project documentation, budgeting, invoicing, RFIs/submittals, change order review, negotiation, and scheduling. • A commitment to work full-time on-site in Baltimore, MD (Monday to Friday).
Preferred qualifications include: • Professional Engineering (PE), Registered Architect, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credentials. • Strong analytical abilities to convert data into actionable insights. • Experience as an Owner's Representative on substantial, complex projects. • A proactive approach to enhancing project management skills and achieving successful client outcomes.
