Your daily life

At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales's most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of systems and equipment mobilize know-how in over 80 professions in high-tech defense, security solutions, and digital services.

Within the Missile Electronics Sector, whose mission is the development and production of sub-assemblies equipping different types of missiles, you will join the team as a project manager for the implementation of a production line at an Italian site (LPI).

Thales LAS France (OME) is responsible for the project management of this project ("Design Authority" and "Manufacturing Authority").

Within the program, the LPI project covers:

• Duplication of test facilities in France, their installation at the Italian site, and transfer of skills for first-level maintenance
• Transfer of skills for production and first-level maintenance for the missile guidance systems
• Industrialization of second-level maintenance for production facilities and missile guidance systems in France
• Support for the start-up of production at the Italian site

The project is carried out in co-contracting with MBDA Italy and MBDA France. A temporary business grouping (GME) has been set up.

The LPI project manager is responsible for the following tasks:

• Interface and contractual management within the GME
• Project management (schedule, budget, risks/opportunities, resources, etc.)
• Coordination with other program projects
• Responding to client needs and increasing the program's portfolio, particularly for the contractualization of production in Italy
• Support for reporting to senior management

The project requires frequent travel in the Paris region and in Italy (Rome, Naples, and Aulia).

Within the program, you will have direct interface with the managers of the Work Packages for Benches, Guidance System Integration, and Industrial, a PMO, systems engineering, finance, technical management, and a quality assurance manager.

Your profile

You have experience in:

• Project management in a complex and international contractual context
• Industrial experience in the production of electronic equipment
• Supply chain management

Your skills:

• Project management, leadership
• Analytical structuring and synthesis skills
• Listening to the field, dialogue, and client negotiation
• Defense clearance level S or TS
• Fluent English mandatory

Your skills:

• Practice of competitiveness methods, cost-killing, and costing
• Ability to drive change
• Knowledge of high-tech electronic product development, radar, microwave, etc.
• Note: Proficiency in Italian would be an asset but is not mandatory.
