Description
The Project Manager - Historic Restoration and Interior Projects key responsibilities include:
- Overall project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Manage contracts, change orders, buyouts, and cost controls
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
- Lead collaboration with architects, preservation consultants, agencies, and owners
- Interpret historic documentation including archival drawings, surveys, and condition assessments
- Navigate regulatory approvals and agency reviews common to historic projects
- Oversee quality control processes including mock-ups, test panels, and inspections
- Ensure project compliance with approved preservation methods and materials
- Manage projects on occupied, phased, or sensitive sites
- Maintain safety, protection of historic fabric, and public interfaces when required
- Drive schedules and budgets in complex, high-touch environments
- Deliver polished, high-end interior finishes with a strong eye for detail
Profile
The Project Manager - Historic Restoration and Interior Projects should have:
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Experience working on historic preservation, restoration or rehabilitation projects (preferred)
- Experience managing trades and scopes related to (masonry, waterproofing, facade restoration)
- Ability to manage 2-3 projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam or other construction related software
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
