Description

The Project Manager - Historic Restoration and Interior Projects key responsibilities include:

  • Overall project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Manage contracts, change orders, buyouts, and cost controls
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
  • Lead collaboration with architects, preservation consultants, agencies, and owners
  • Interpret historic documentation including archival drawings, surveys, and condition assessments
  • Navigate regulatory approvals and agency reviews common to historic projects
  • Oversee quality control processes including mock-ups, test panels, and inspections
  • Ensure project compliance with approved preservation methods and materials
  • Manage projects on occupied, phased, or sensitive sites
  • Maintain safety, protection of historic fabric, and public interfaces when required
  • Drive schedules and budgets in complex, high-touch environments
  • Deliver polished, high-end interior finishes with a strong eye for detail

Profile

The Project Manager - Historic Restoration and Interior Projects should have:

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience working on historic preservation, restoration or rehabilitation projects (preferred)
  • Experience managing trades and scopes related to (masonry, waterproofing, facade restoration)
  • Ability to manage 2-3 projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam or other construction related software
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
