A Project Management role with this team offers an opportunity to work with the partners to build the foundations of our Ontario Health Team and make an impact across our community.

Job Description

Mississauga Health is seeking experienced Project Managers to join the team. Successful candidates will work collaboratively to lead exciting, transformative initiatives, processes and best practices to establish and grow an Ontario Health Team in this community. This includes enabling strategic and operational planning for the OHT as well as supporting success on strategic initiatives and work streams. The ideal candidate exemplifies a commitment to the OHT’s vision and values, has experience in home care, data and digital health, or privacy and risk, and demonstrates dedication to a person-centered, equitable approach to delivering quality care.

Here’s what you’ll get to do:

  • Enable integrated project delivery by taking a systems-approach to planning, decision-making, risk management and overall reporting for assigned Mississauga Health projects
  • Oversee all elements of integrated project approach and plan development, as well as implementing all necessary processes and practices to ensure the delivery on project objectives and successfully achieving the project's goals;
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to team leadership and governance to achieve project deliverables;
  • Support multi-disciplinary project teams through all phases of project life cycle, providing coaching, motivation and guidance throughout the duration of projects;
  • Support project performance and status reporting to all relevant stakeholders;
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood;
  • Monitor and report on progress, problems and solutions to all stakeholders and escalate issues as appropriate;
  • Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals to internal and external audiences;
  • Lead development of in-house project management knowledge and best practices;
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including regional, provincial and/or private sector partners to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business, life sciences, health administration or related discipline required
  • Masters’ degree in public administration, business administration, or healthcare administration or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management in health care, including at health care providers, government or private sector required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation an asset
  • Understanding and interest in health system integration and partnerships
  • Strong leadership, adaptability, interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential for this role, including the ability to build strong relationships
  • Experience with project management processes and best practices
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Superior analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs of senior leaders
  • Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with teams, including supporting collaborative design of products with cross-functional groups
  • Experience organizing and facilitating large executive level retreats with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians
  • Superior writing and PowerPoint design skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft suite skills is a must
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current trends, developments and regulations in health care and public sector, as well as knowledge of governance and management best practices
  • Travel to partner sites will be required
