About

  • Contract: 3‑year contract with potential for extension, located in Charlotte, NC.
  • Compensation: $58.00 – $63.62 per hour, W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits; ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
  • Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Single‑point accountability under the general direction of a Senior Project Manager.
  • Manage, or assist in managing, all phases of project planning and execution to meet success factors including scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration.
  • Accountable for a portfolio of assigned projects with low to moderate risk that impact the company, senior management, or external agencies.
  • Serve as a unifying agent providing leadership, decision‑making, guidance, coordination, and control of overall projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
  • Manage projects focused on transmission (230 kV and 100 kV) substation and line design/builds to connect data‑center customers; background in infrastructure project management and/or electric transmission preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
  • Graduation from a two‑year college or university with working knowledge of project management principles.
  • Proficiency in project management, decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving; experience with risk management, project leadership, and collaborative teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduation from a four‑year college or university.
  • Utility technical certifications/training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) certification; CMII certificates; Professional Engineer license.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and cost controls.
  • Experience in the utility industry and knowledge of construction management.
  • Ability to interact with individuals across various organizational levels, from individual contributors to senior department leadership and executive management.
