About

As Project Manager II, you lead cross-functional IT projects within SHI’s reseller channel, guiding scope, schedule, budget, and risk. You’ll collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, and vendors to deliver infrastructure, cloud, and services solutions. Independent, mid-sized project leadership and adherence to PMO standards are key. You’ll drive continuous improvement and ensure clear communication across technical and business stakeholders. This role offers meaningful impact shaping delivery for commercial and enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure, cloud, and services projects
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans (scope, schedule, milestones, resource plans, dependencies, risk/issue logs)
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and ensure follow-through on decisions and actions
  • Coordinate with sales, solutions architects, engineering, operations, and vendors to confirm requirements and handoffs
  • Track project financials (estimates, POs, invoices, margins) and escalate variances with corrective actions
  • Communicate status clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Identify and manage risks/issues, propose mitigation plans, and drive timely resolution
  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, governance, and documentation practices
  • Capture lessons learned and drive process/tooling improvements

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience managing technology or IT services projects
  • Ability to own small to mid-sized projects independently
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (waterfall, hybrid; agile concepts beneficial)
  • Experience building schedules, managing dependencies, and adjusting plans
  • Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project or equivalent, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana; plus Excel, PowerPoint, Teams/Zoom)
  • Experience with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, operations, and vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication translating technical details into business terms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, budgets and timelines familiarity
  • PMI-PMP certification required
