Project Manager

Scope of Work

DSS is seeking three qualified individuals to provide full-time project management for two DSS program areas: Medical Services (1 position) and Child Support (2 positions). DSS may select candidates from one or more vendor proposals.

Activities include but are not limited to:

• Lead a team of business and data analysts to oversee the design, development, and implementation of various information system transformation projects.
• Provide strategic direction to the agency.
• Assists with defining strategic direction of enterprise level IT implementations.
• Define business and technological requirements, consults with product owner, subject matter experts, and scrum teams to define business needs and objectives.
• Provides project management of highly complex large scale enterprise IT projects and smaller scale projects.
• Lead and coordinate efforts of development team and vendors to ensure solutions are implemented successfully.
• Ensures project governance and monitoring controls are in place.
• Responsible to ensure project design, development, and implementation are on time and budget.
• Mentor state personnel in project management and over time potentially train state resources to take over this function.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have the following skills and experience:

• Successful experience managing information technology solutions.
• PMP certification or equivalent working experience.
• Knowledge of various software development methodologies (agile, waterfall, Dev Ops, etc.)
• Experience in successfully applying project management and project governance principles.
