Your Daily Life

At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales's most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of systems and equipment mobilize know-how in over 80 professions in high-tech defense, security solutions, and digital services.

Within Thales LAS France, you will join the Laser Systems and Solutions (SSL) sector, which is responsible for the development, testing, customer installation, and support of high-energy Nanosecond laser products and specific Femtosecond laser systems. The main clients are scientific laboratories, technological start-ups, and industrial integrators.

In particular, as part of project launches contributing to the development of the nuclear Fusion sector through laser confinement, the sector is looking for a PM (Project Manager) to lead multi-year contracts.

Responsibilities

Within the Laser Systems and Solutions (SSL) sector, as Project Manager and EDM, you will be responsible for:

• Managing one or more projects from the transition meeting to the closing meeting,
• Client relations,
• Cross-functional project coordination and leading progress meetings with the project team,
• Managing costs, quality, and deadlines,
• Risk management and identification of project opportunities.
• Managing the development part of projects as well as deliverables in liaison with the laser engineering teams, in the role of Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM)

You will also ensure compliance with contractual commitments, export regulations, and report on projects to laser activity management.

Your Profile

• You have an engineering degree and several successful experiences in project management.
• You have technical knowledge in photonics and/or lasers.
• You have managed work packages and/or projects.
• You have experience in transverse team management.
• You communicate fluently in both French and English.
• You effectively use PRIMAVERA (or MS Project or equivalent tools).
• You are rigorous and precise, and demonstrate synthesis in your reporting.
