Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience managing technology or IT services projects, ideally in reseller, MSP, VAR, or systems integrator settings.
  • Proven ability to lead small to mid-sized projects independently through all project phases.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (waterfall, hybrid; agile familiarity is advantageous).
  • Demonstrated expertise in building project schedules, managing dependencies, and adapting plans proactively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana) as well as Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams/Zoom.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams involving sales, engineering, operations, and vendors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in business terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with comfort in managing budgets and timelines.
  • Professional project management certification (PMP) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure, cloud, and services projects for commercial and enterprise clients.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, resource allocation, and risk/issue logs.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, document decisions and action items, ensuring accountability across all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with sales, solutions architects, engineering, operations, and vendors to confirm project requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor project financials, including estimates, purchase orders, and margins; escalate variances and propose corrective actions.
  • Communicate project status effectively and transparently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, propose mitigation strategies, and drive timely resolutions.
  • Ensure projects adhere to established PMO standards, governance, and documentation practices.
  • Support continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and recommending process enhancements.
