Your Role
As a Project Manager (m/f/d), you will collaborate with ADM business units and cross-functional stakeholders to meet expectations regarding project scope, schedule, and budget for project implementation.
To do this, you will lead a team of professionals in carrying out various project initiatives within a matrix organization.
In this role, you will ensure the quality of work on projects with a volume of 0.5 million to 25 million USD.
Your Tasks
- Development of comprehensive project plans including goals, schedule, budget, and resource planning
- Implementation of projects according to ADM Front-End Loading (FEL) guidelines
- Ensuring ADM safety standards during project planning and execution
- Identification of potential risks and development of preventive measures for risk mitigation
- Proactive communication of risks and changes in project scope to all relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and ADM guidelines (approvals, safety regulations, quality assurance, HACCP, GMP, HAZOP, HSE)
- Leading and motivating the project team, fostering a cooperative and productive work atmosphere
- Main point of contact for all project-related issues
- Preparation of monthly progress reports during all project phases – from concept and basic planning through execution and commissioning to handover, capitalization, and project completion
- Coordination of the preparation of all necessary documents for commissioning, training, maintenance, and legally required documentation in cooperation with specialist planners
- Close cooperation with the Capex procurement team and the accounting team on budget planning and capital expenditures
Your Profile
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex investment projects within a matrix organization
- Knowledge in the execution of modernization, brownfield, and greenfield projects, ideally in the chemical or industrial civil/construction sector
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Experience in working with external planning offices and various contract models
- Structured and independent working style with a high quality standard and hands-on mentality
- Sound knowledge in cost planning and commissioning procedures for industrial processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and common Microsoft Office applications is required
- Knowledge and experience in ATEX design and regulations are an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilience, flexibility, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
Your Qualification
- Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering).
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA) or willingness to certify is an advantage
- At least 3–5 years of professional experience in managing multiple industrial or construction projects of medium to high complexity

- Achievement of defined project goals
- Implementation within the agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards while adhering to all safety requirements
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Close cooperation with interdisciplinary ADM teams to monitor, measure, and report project progress
- Collaboration with the Capex procurement team and the finance department to ensure transparent project financing and cost control
