About SAJO

SAJO is a well-established Integrated Project Delivery company specialized in designing and building environments for more than 45 years and headquartered in Montreal. We are currently looking for a Project Manager for our Millwork Procurement Division, which caters to the retail and high-end residential sectors.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Director and Senior Project Manager of the Millwork Procurement Division, the Project Manager's responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Review and prepare bid documents.
  • Read shop drawings and generate take-offs of millwork / metal and component requirements.
  • Negotiate/award contracts with respective vendors.
  • Assist client in developing design intent criteria to produce shop drawings.
  • Monitor status and compliance of shop drawings with regards to timeliness and accuracy.
  • Establish production schedules and revise schedules to reflect design changes, backlogs, or delays.
  • Monitor work progress to assess compliance of quality standards.
  • Coordinate production and shipping activities and ensure shipping schedules are respected.
  • Monitor and track reception of components produced / received /shipped.
  • Document production, transportation, schedules, delays, changes, and other information related to the project.

Qualifications

  • BAC or DEC in engineering, architecture, interior design, construction technology or any related education.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of standard methods, materials, and practices of custom millwork and metal.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and fixture shop drawings.
  • Ability to manage several projects at one time, changing priorities, and tight timelines.
  • Ability to assume self-guided responsibility for completion of projects.
  • Experience in millwork manufacturing and estimation, procurement, design, and production for the retail and high-end residential sectors is considered a strong asset.
  • Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Procore (Project Management Software) is considered an asset.
