A well-known General Contractor focusing on new construction multifamily projects in Northern Virginia are looking to hire a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager (assessed on skill set) to join their team. Initial project is to a lead a $60M multifamily project in the Reston, VA area. Brand new site and development starting in the summer of 2026. Join a company that has an excellent reputation and are hiring for multifamily construction projects ranging $50M-150M range, with a strong pipeline of new construction projects starting in the next 3-12 months. Your New Role
As a Project Manager you will provide administrative and project management support a seasoned Project Executive on new construction and/or Interior construction projects. The mid-long term goal for this position would be to coach you to stage of where you are being provided your own projects and move into a Senior Project Manager position. Performance reviews are frequent including an annual promotion and salary assessment.
Your task is to support the team to ensure that targets set for the project are completed to the required standard of quality and within the set time and budget. You will be involved in a variety of tasks including project scheduling, bidding, take-offs, procurement and cost controls; as well as the management of RFI's, submittals and change orders.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 8+ years' experience working in the construction industry for a general contractor as a Project Manager.
- Experience in commercial construction, with a high preference for multifamily construction experience, open to wood-frame or concrete experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a construction related discipline preferred but not essential. Client will look at just work experience.
- This is a fast-paced position so you will need to be able to multi-task and be an excellent communicator and able to work with different personalities and levels of seniority within an organization.
- Candidates must be able to be in the office 5 days a week in Washington DC.
- Successful candidates will need to be US Citizens, no sponsorship opportunities are available for this particular role.
