Role

For the "Operations Network & Strategy" department, we are looking for a Project Manager Operations Network & Strategy (w/m/d) at the Ulm/Oberkochen location as soon as possible.

The "Operations Network & Strategy" department is responsible for the strategic further development of HENSOLDT's global operations network. This includes, among other things, the strategic alignment of production capacities with customer demands, the management of performance initiatives, and ensuring transparency across all production and logistics sites. As part of this department, you will work closely with the operations areas (including production, logistics, quality, and supply chain) and drive the further development of our network of production and logistics sites towards an efficient, flexible, and resilient operations network, aligning it with future market demands.

Responsibilities

• Leadership of projects in the area of our global operations network, such as new site construction and relocations, as well as outsourcing.
• Management of interdisciplinary project teams.
• Shaping the production strategy, particularly regarding footprint and product allocation.
• Analysis and continuous optimization of the global production and logistics network (e.g., site structure, transport routes).
• Execution of capacity management to align capacities with demand forecasts and corporate strategy.
• Conducting make-or-buy analyses and deriving recommendations for action.
• Preparation of board decision papers regarding the global production strategy.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in operations, supply chain management, or a strategy consultancy.
• Experience in leading complex projects.
• Sound knowledge of network design, production planning, and logistics.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• High degree of initiative and confident demeanor in dealing with various stakeholders.
• Very good German and English language skills.
