We are the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance. Our mission is to build bridges between various companies in Industry 4.0 and IIoT area, from small ones to the biggest in the world.
The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance is a growing global implementation alliance (non‑profit industrial association) with +100 member companies and partner organizations who are experts in Industry digitalization, I4.0 solutions, implementing AI, and services from shop floor to top floor. The vision of the OI4 Alliance is business acceleration through the implementation of Industry 4.0 standards and vertical & horizontal integration of data and processes.

Tasks
- Initiate and manage IIoT / I4.0 projects in collaboration with specialist departments and external stakeholders of OI4 member companies. This requires direct and proactive contact with OI4 representatives of our members and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct conceptual work and present project proposals for harmonization and digitalization as well as operational management of projects.
- Support multi‑vendor implementation of IIoT / I4.0 / AI projects by setting up meeting structures, preparing meetings or moderating meetings to create tangible results. Align timelines and track progress (planning, monitoring, documentation).
- Represent project results in regular meetings as well as at events and trade fairs such as SPS Nürnberg or Hannover Trade Fair.
- Contribute to the strategy of Open Industry Alliance; help shape the bigger picture based on your experience while having freedom for out‑of‑the‑box thinking and personal impulses.
- Align with the team: we are small in the core team but powerful with experts from our members. All team members collaborate as our skills rely on each other.
- Support development and implementation of our internationalization & community activities.
- Support project‑related content creation for our homepage and social media channels.
Profile
- Successfully completed studies in economics, computer science, technical training, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of IT project management experience with a focus on transformation projects in the IT environment (classic and cloud).
- Fluency in German and English is a must; additional languages are a plus.
- AAS‑Skills / Digital Twin or AI knowledge.
- Skilled in designing presentations and communication materials (e.g., PowerPoint). Creating project‑related content in an accountable, understandable and proper way is important (e.g., visualizing the role and responsibilities of project members according to a technical project architecture).
- Ability to view project content from different perspectives, filtering for relevance to marketing, storytelling, or technical detail.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to translate complex topics into engaging content for various audiences.
- Proactive and willing to take responsibility from day 1 as part of the team, independently building your responsibility area.
- Open towards different people, mindsets and cultures with fire and resilience to grow and manage a digital community.
