Project Manager R&D (Industry RF Wireless Connectivity)

Your tasks

You are responsible for managing projects that involve portfolio and customer specific wireless connectivity products for various market applications, including transportation, industrial, and communication sectors from exploration phase to serialization.

In the role of a Project Manager R&D, your tasks surpass the traditional scope of project management, including not only the planning of time, cost, and deliverables but also the coordination of work packages within the project team. Additionally, within the project activities you are tasked with establishing appropriate priorities and strategies, carrying out technical reviews, and preparing documentation and reports.

In the context of these project management efforts, you will join our Wireless PMD (Product Management and Development) organization, collaborating with mechanical engineering and antenna specialists, product managers and other project leaders. In addition to these internal collaborations, you work with external suppliers, technology partners, universities and startup companies from various disciplines.

Some examples of typical activities to help you grasp an idea of the daily work:

• Responsibility for the overall implementation of internal or customer projects
• Leading the project team according to the defined processes
• Execution of technical and project reviews
• Close collaboration with internal posts / positions at H+S in the region and at the production site
• Handling suppliers within project scope (external labs, subcontractors etc.)
• Overall added value evaluation: performance vs cost calculation for business support, product and technology development
• Implementation of antenna products considering innovative concepts, materials and manufacturing processes

Your profile

• Technical degree in engineering (Dipl.-Ing./Ing. HTL/FH/TH/ETH.) - System, Electrical or Mechanical engineering
• Preferably 4-5+ years of experience in a similar position
• Experience in Automotive- / Railway- / Communication Industry is a plus
• Knowledge in development of products is a must
• Skills to communicate and plan in a professional and systematic way and able to meet timelines and cost-efficiency goals
• Ability to drive, co-ordinate and lead projects and your customer-oriented thinking will be the basis of your professional success
• Very good communication skills in English
• Leadership skills (activities, people) will be considered a plus
