Project Manager – Security Division

About

Marathon is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Security Division! This role is essential in supporting projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth execution and top-notch results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team with site surveys, proposal development, and project estimates.
• Review project drawings, addendums, and scopes of work.
• Research engineering requirements, project materials, and site conditions; create RFIs for clarification.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, including agreements, scopes of work, and quote reviews. If a new subcontractor is required, establish a subcontractor agreement/contract as needed.
• Oversee project implementation: labor coordination, scheduling, material processing, site coordination, and close-out deliverables.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, and submittal processes.
• Support the development and implementation of service and maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with superintendents, technicians, and the security and infrastructure teams for seamless project execution.
• Contribute to the growth and organization of our back-office and field staff.
• Assist management in developing procedures and processes to support company growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior Project management/ engineering experience is strongly preferred
• Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve system issues.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from senior technicians.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong knowledge of project management software (Project Manager, Project Server, etc.)preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP, Project Server, or other project management software preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a team environment with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint Online Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred but not required.

• Sykesville, MD 21784: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification

• MD Security license & DCJS License (Preferred)
