Responsibilities
- Lead and manage concurrent projects, including budgets, schedules, hours and expense tracking, task execution, labor cost and quantity estimates, technical calculations, permit applications, schematics, construction documentation, and regulatory/technical memoranda
- Oversee technical development, project scheduling, and the resolution of complex engineering design issues
- Serve in a hands-on role throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through completion, for mechanical design and construction of building and infrastructure projects including new construction, rehabilitation, and reconstruction
- Apply engineering methods and best practices to identify efficiencies and improvements during concept development, preliminary design, final design, and construction phases
- Maintain direct, professional communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and subconsultants
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- Strong knowledge of building systems, design standards, and applicable codes
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing schedules, budgets, and contract work with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel to project sites within the region
