Your Role
As Project Manager – Stream Lead Customs (m/f/d), you will take on the technical and organizational responsibility for the Customs stream within our S/4HANA program / Stream Logistics. In this key role, you will manage the global S/4Hana implementation in the area of foreign trade and customs, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and ensure that requirements from the customs and foreign trade environment are implemented efficiently, on time, and with high quality in the S/4 context.
You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders, global logistics and foreign trade functions, as well as other streams in the S/4 program, thereby making a significant contribution to the further development of our global process and system landscape.
The position is limited to 3 years.
What awaits you with us:
- End-to-end responsibility for the Customs stream within Logistics (planning, steering, monitoring, and reporting)
- Partial project management in the area of customs and foreign trade with a focus on process harmonization, standardization, and digitalization
- Coordination of a cross-functional project team (business, IT, external partners) including task and resource planning as well as prioritization of requirements
- Ensuring the integration of customs processes into the overall S/4HANA Logistics and system architecture (e.g., SD, MM, Customs solutions)
- Stakeholder management across various specialist departments, regions, and hierarchy levels; preparation and execution of steering committees and decision proposals
- Risk management and identification, as well as escalation management
- Change & Test Management: Supporting specialist departments in the introduction of new processes and systems, including preparation of training and communication materials
- Continuous improvement of project management methods and standards within the S/4 Logistics stream
Your Profile:
- Successfully completed studies in business administration, ideally with a focus on foreign trade
- Several years of professional experience in project management, ideally in complex transformation projects (e.g., ERP/S/4HANA implementations, Logistics/Supply Chain projects)
- Proficient project management skills:
- Confident use of classic and/or agile PM methods
- Experience in project planning, steering, budgeting, and reporting
- Routine in managing senior stakeholders and moderating decision-making rounds
- Very good communication and presentation skills in German and English
- Strong hands-on mentality, high personal responsibility, and a structured, results-oriented way of working
- High team spirit, resilience, and the ability to operate confidently in a dynamic, international environment.
