We are hiring an afternoon City Dispatcher for a large Transportation company located in the Brampton area.

Salary : $50,000-55,000 / year based on experience

Schedule : Afternoon shift Monday-Friday

Responsibilities : • Coordinating / scheduling / dispatching city drivers according to customer requirements (trucks, straight trucks, and owner operators) • Monitoring driver routes to ensure timely delivery of freight • Determining routing problems and resolving issues ASAP • Recording mileage, fuel use and repairs • Acting as the liaison between company drivers and customers • Communicating with drivers during trips to ensure smooth delivery of freight • Ensuring drivers have all necessary paperwork before dispatching to client sites, including alternate routes or special instructions for delivery • Other duties as required

Qualifications : • Previous experience in a Dispatching role within the Transportation / Logistics industry • Strong knowledge of the GTA • Able to work independently • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Comfortable with drivers / driver paperwork • Able to work full-time on the afternoon shift
