Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in data engineering and the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). You will lead cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy robust data pipelines and analytics solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Oversee full-lifecycle development of scalable Google Cloud Platform data architectures (batch and streaming).
  • Google Cloud Platform Expertise: Guide development using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
  • Agile Management: Facilitate sprints, manage backlogs in Jira/Confluence, and remove impediments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to define requirements and data governance.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data system performance, cost, and security.
  • Data Migration: Lead initiatives for migrating on-premise data environments to Google Cloud Platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in IT Project/Program Management.
  • Google Cloud Platform/Cloud Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Platform data products.
  • Technical Understanding: Solid grasp of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and warehousing.
  • Methodology: Strong experience with Agile/Scrum.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification.
  • Background in software development (Python/SQL)
