Project Manager – Fit-Out

About the Role

SSA Group is partnered with a leading European fit-out and interiors contractor recruiting a Project Manager for an upcoming scheme in Frankfurt. The Project Manager will take full ownership of project delivery — managing design input, site teams, and supply chain to deliver safely, on programme, and within budget. The role is open to candidates from either a trade or architectural / design background who have moved into project management.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract:

• Input into the preparation of estimates and tenders, including site visits and tender reviews with the operations team
• Planning and programming of the works
• Identifying and developing Value Engineering opportunities pre- and post-contract

Post-Contract:

• Adhering to and championing "Safety First" principles across all activities
• Ensuring each contract is properly planned, programmed, and resourced
• Preparation of contract budget with the profit centre surveyor; monitoring performance and acting to meet the Margin Enhancement Plan
• Implementation of safety, health, environmental and quality procedures, ensuring full statutory compliance
• Developing the contract programme with Contracts and Site Managers, sequencing operations, and ensuring resource availability
• Authorising procurement and placement of subcontractor and supplier orders in line with programme and Limit of Authority
• Understanding and managing the project contract and any amendments
• Recruitment and management of site personnel in line with HR policy
• Attending and chairing Contract Review Meetings as required
• Forming and maintaining strong professional relationships with the Client, Project and Design teams, and Supply Chain

Requirements

• Proven Project Manager experience delivering fit-out, interiors, or high-end commercial construction projects
• Background in either a construction trade (carpentry, joinery, M&E, drylining, ceilings/partitions) OR architecture / interior design
• Fluent German (written and spoken) — essential (B2 minimum)
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods and technologies
• Strong commercial strategy understanding — profit delivery, cash management, financial reporting
• Working knowledge of subcontract / material procurement
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Strong grasp of H&S, quality procedures, and construction industry best practice
• Pharma / cleanroom / mission-critical fit-out experience an advantage
• EU work authorisation

Package

• Salary: €75,000–€85,000 base
• Package: Pension, bonus structure, travel allowance (TBC at offer stage)
