About the role
Responsibilities
- Execution Strategy & Site Assessment: Develop comprehensive execution strategies for sales projects, including on-site route assessments, transportation logistics planning, and installation feasibility studies.
- Logistics & Craneage Solutions: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local wind industry supply chain, specifically focusing on heavy haulage logistics and crane availability. Liaise with technical teams to optimize craneage and installation budgets.
- Technical Proposals: Prepare detailed proposals including transportation from factory to site, installation, testing, and commissioning. Address non-standard scopes (e.g., Balance of Plant) and hybrid tower solutions.
- Project Procurement Support: Support procurement processes for cranes and installation services, ensuring the accuracy of tender documentation and validating supplier technical concepts.
- Commercial Management: Conduct cost analyses, risk management assessments, and contract reviews to ensure commercial viability and competitiveness.
- Handover & Delivery: Ensure a seamless handover of project management solutions to the delivery team upon contract closure, acting as a potential lead for future delivery teams.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in project or proposal management.
- Education: Degree in relevant engineering qualification (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
- Core Competencies: Deep familiarity with the local wind supply chain, with a primary focus on logistics and heavy lifting/installation. Experience in wind farm project sales, transport, cranes, or construction management is mandatory.
- Target Background: Candidates from top-tier OEMs (e.g., Vestas, Nordex) or major clients are highly preferred. Specific target roles include Commercial Managers with technical backgrounds, Project Engineering Managers, or Logistics/Installation Procurement Managers.
- Skills: Excellent IT skills including MS Office/Sharepoint. Strong communication skills in English.
- Soft Skills: Strong ability to communicate, integrate, and influence across departments. Must possess the courage to challenge, a continuous pursuit of success, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Age/Level Indicator: We are looking for a dynamic professional (typically around 35 years old) who is eager to take ownership of projects and drive results on the ground.
