As a Contract Manager dedicated to investment-heavy activities, you will play a key role in the project's success by ensuring the proper execution of supplier contracts and protecting Framatome's interests, both short and long term.

Thanks to your rigor, analytical skills, and ability to anticipate, you will ensure smooth and transparent flow of contractual information between all stakeholders. Your contribution will also help feed back experience and support the continuous improvement of Framatome's purchasing/contract standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support to the management of negotiated Contract requirements: know and clarify contractual obligations by providing interpretation/advice, monitor their performance, ensure that an additional service/expense not provided for in the contract is not incurred without being properly identified, approved, monitored and controlled.
  • Support for the preparation of Contract modifications/evolutions by ensuring contractual consistency, and negotiating them, with the project team.
  • Regular review of schedule changes (discrepancies), monitoring and recording of necessary elements for a potential claim.
  • Manage contractual risks (contingencies, penalties, disputes, force majeure, etc.).
  • Draft/validate letters, Early Warnings and other documents addressed to the Client as far as they are related to the contract or have contractual implications, and participate in the review of important letters and other documents addressed to suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Make available, update and ensure mastery of contractual documents throughout the project.
  • Raise awareness of the project team on contractual aspects and ensure the project team remains aware.
  • In particular concerning the scope:
    • Participate in weekly and monthly supplier and project meetings.
    • Participate in supplier meetings with contractual stakes or representing a particular risk, cost and/or schedule exposure; with important project stakes.
  • Manage Claims: identify, propose the contractual strategy, prepare, present and instruct claims and support their resolution (with the Senior Project Manager, and/or Investment Project Managers and the Schedule Manager).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a business school, engineering school, or law school.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management, with initial experience in contract management.
  • Very organized, autonomous and able to adapt to an international environment.
  • Confirmed interpersonal skills: communication (oral and written) and ability to connect with stakeholders (suppliers, subcontractors, co-contractors and buyers).
  • Leadership aptitude, especially when there is no direct hierarchical link.
  • Team spirit.
  • Language skills: Operational English, both written and spoken.

About the Role

Attached to the Framatome Purchasing Department in Le Creusot and under the operational coordination of the PPM Forge+.

You are willing to show geographical flexibility depending on the projects you will participate in.
