About the role
Your role in the team
- In your role as Project System Manager for the Electrical Engineering division, you assume the central responsibility for the technical and organizational management of complex electrical systems in shipbuilding.
- They coordinate international project teams, make complex technical decisions, and ensure that time, quality, and budget goals are met.
- In this role, you act as a connecting interface between internal departments, international suppliers, shipping companies, and classification societies.
- Planning, control, and monitoring of shipbuilding projects within the scope of medium- and detailed planning.
- Ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, quality, and weight specifications, as well as initiating early corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Maintenance and further development of the project forecast for assigned areas as well as derivation of strategic and operational measures.
- Ensuring cross-ship operational readiness as well as independently coordinating and monitoring the commissioning of the systems under responsibility.
- Assessment, development, and decision-making of technical solution alternatives in close coordination with internal departments, shipping companies, and classification societies.
- Regular reporting to production and project management as well as professional communication with shipping companies, classification societies, and international stakeholders.
- Technical leadership and coordination of the project team (including site managers, foremen, system responsible personnel, procurement, and partner companies).
- Conducting negotiations with clients and international suppliers, as well as ensuring active and structured claim and change management.
- Derivation and implementation of measures to ensure the project and corporate strategy, as well as continuous optimization of processes and workflows.
- Acts as the central contact person for system inquiries from technology, clients, classes, and other project partners.

Qualifications
- Very good spoken and written English skills.

Experience
- Professional experience in project management of complex technical large-scale projects, ideally in shipbuilding or comparable industries.
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary and international teams as well as strong communication and moderation skills.
Education
- Completed technical qualification, e.g., as a state-certified technician, master craftsman, or technical degree (e.g., electrical engineering or mechanical engineering).
