About this position

As a Project Engineer in the Infrastructure department, you will play a central role in planning and implementing technical projects at Henkel sites – with a strong focus on Power-to-Heat technologies, the electrification of thermal processes, and CO₂ reduction initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure that projects are implemented safely, on time, within budget, and in line with Henkel's sustainability strategy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Planning, execution, and management of Power-to-Heat and decarbonization projects from concept to commissioning in the industrial infrastructure sector.
  • Support the electrification of heat generation, including technologies such as heat pumps, electric boilers, thermal storage, and the integration of renewable energies.
  • Lead and support general infrastructure and energy projects, including utility systems, process heat, water, and site-specific energy systems.
  • Prepare technical concepts, feasibility studies, cost estimates, schedules, and risk analyses.
  • Coordinate various engineering disciplines, internal stakeholders (operations, HSE, procurement, etc.), and external contractors or engineering partners.
  • Ensure compliance with Henkel standards, local regulations, safety requirements, and sustainability goals.
  • Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and report on milestones and KPIs.
  • Prepare and track project schedules and perform general project management according to our standards and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within Henkel's global infrastructure community.
  • Collaborate within the infrastructure engineering team to ensure smooth development and handover of systems from concept to commissioning and into operation.
