The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of mageba projects (delivery and assembly of statically relevant components for bridges). In this role, they are in close contact with clients from the construction industry as well as authorities in their assigned region (currently German-speaking Switzerland).

They are the direct point of contact for commercial and technical matters related to their projects. As a highly specialized company, mageba enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry, which the Project Manager upholds.

Responsibilities

• Management of national projects for structural bearings, expansion joints, and related products with a focus on Switzerland
• Technical and commercial project management in the bridge and infrastructure sector across all project phases – from order confirmation through planning, production, and delivery to assembly/supervision, final invoicing, and documentation
• Planning and monitoring of deadlines, costs, revenues, and quality for projects of various sizes, including change order and claims management
• Proactive communication with partners, clients, and planners
• Coordination with internal interfaces such as sales, engineering, purchasing, production, logistics, and assembly
• Ongoing reporting using the provided IT tools

Qualifications

• Completed degree or higher education in civil engineering, structural engineering, or mechanical engineering
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the bridge, road, or infrastructure sector
• Very good spoken and written German skills and willingness to communicate actively
• Proven project management experience, ideally in the construction industry in Europe
• High degree of personal responsibility, structured way of working, and strong customer orientation
• Proactive, goal-oriented, and efficient work style
• Strong social skills and team player attitude
