Background and Context of the Project

In the course of digitizing public administration, our client ensures the secure operation and continuous development of extensive web and intranet presences. To guarantee the timely implementation of project milestones based on the TYPO3 content management system, an external project management team is being built.

As an IT Project Manager (m/f/d), you will manage the entire lifecycle of TYPO3 projects – from initiation to successful handover to IT operations.

• Project Start: Expected from early June 2026
• Duration: 36 months (minimum contract duration) with an option to extend by another 12 months
• Utilization: approx. 70-80% (approx. 183 person-days per year)
• Location: 95% Remote, 5% On-Site in Stuttgart and possibly in the Baden-Württemberg region

Project Description

• Holistic management of TYPO3 projects using agile methods (SCRUM).
• Requirements management, including the creation of service descriptions and specifications.
• Transparent planning of resources and timelines within projects.
• Continuous monitoring of budget, quality, and timelines.
• Management and moderation of project meetings and coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Comprehensive documentation of project progress and creation/updating of project plans (via Jira and Confluence).

Skills

• Must-Have: At least 4 years of demonstrable experience in IT project management for websites based on TYPO3 (focus on experience between 2020 and today).
• Must-Have: At least 4 years of practical experience in managing projects using agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Must-Have: Demonstrable project experience in public administration / public sector (focus on experience between 2020 and today), including sound knowledge of administrative requirements management.
• Must-Have: In-depth application knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and common collaborative software for digital design.
• Must-Have: Practical experience in connecting and synchronizing directory services with TYPO3 systems.
• Must-Have: High presentation and negotiation skills.
• Must-Have: German language skills at native level (C2).
• Nice-to-Have: Certifications in agile project management (e.g., Scrum Master / Product Owner).
• Nice-to-Have: Additional technical or tool certifications in the web and CMS environment.
