Everyone plays an important role. Together, with our energy and team spirit, we can tackle the world's most complex challenges and achieve more together.

Your Role

Our team, our future! – Together we are realizing the energy transition

Become part of Germany's largest energy infrastructure projects and shape Germany's progress and future by realizing its major expansion projects in the energy transition at the locations Hildesheim, Hamburg, Cologne, Dresden, and Essen as a project controller for cable and pipeline projects (w/m/d).

The position is located in our global Resilience business unit. We want to protect our natural environment and water resources and keep our world alive for future generations. The impacts of climate change, rapid urbanization, and loss of biodiversity have become noticeable worldwide. The frequency of unforeseen disasters such as floods and wildfires is increasing significantly. We need to help our municipalities, communities, and businesses become more sustainable and resilient for the future. The result: stronger and more resilient cities, more stable companies and economies, a sustainably habitable planet, and a better quality of life.

Role Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will take on the technical leadership or control of sub-areas in cross-functional cable or pipeline projects across all service phases. You will act with outstanding knowledge in several subject areas and contribute significantly to the successful implementation of the projects. Your tasks include:

  • Independent control of project progress based on the schedule and construction plan to ensure milestones are met on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Project-related setup and management of various project management services (scheduling, risk management, change management, reporting, etc.)
  • Creation, updating, and monitoring of project structure plans (PSP) and their adaptation to changing conditions.
  • Organization and documentation of project-related meetings and steering committees with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive development of solutions in collaboration with specialist planners to ensure adherence to schedule, costs, and quality in case of disruptions.
  • Regular reporting to project management, construction management, subcontractors, and other project participants, including supra-regional coordination and consultation.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for a personality with outstanding technical knowledge and supra-regional effectiveness who contributes to the successful implementation of our projects with commitment and team spirit. In addition, you bring:

  • Completed studies in architecture, civil engineering, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, construction project management, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience (>8 years) in the management and coordination of projects in civil and plant engineering, particularly in the areas of scheduling, risk, change management, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Further training in project management to further optimize project management and coordination.
  • Sound knowledge in the application of MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Further training in Microsoft 365 such as Power Apps, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, and Query is an advantage for efficient digital work processes.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant approval procedures (NABEG, EnWG, BBergG, BImSch-Verfahren) is an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Very good German and good English skills to operate confidently in a supra-regional environment.
