Proposal Engineer

Dalsem

Den Hoorn Texel · Hybrid Full-time Mid Level €4k – €6k/mo 1mo ago

About the role

What will you do?

As a Proposal Engineer at Dalsem, you will work on proposals for international high-tech greenhouse projects. What does the best solution look like? You translate and analyze customer requests and develop them into a complete proposal with technical details, planning, and price information. You will also perform technical calculations for greenhouses and company buildings using the Casta program. Furthermore, you will prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and total project costs.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues from sales, engineering, and procurement to ensure that each proposal is technically correct, financially feasible, and meets the customer's wishes. Because Dalsem develops all disciplines for high-tech greenhouses in-house, you will work with various technical systems. Think of climate control systems, irrigation systems, steel structures, shading systems, electrical engineering, and lighting.

Additionally, you will ensure that proposals are clearly elaborated and check that they meet all requirements. You will regularly contact international suppliers and partners to answer questions or explain proposals. With your work, you lay the foundation for international greenhouse projects worth millions of euros.

What can you expect?

At Dalsem, we offer ample opportunities for professional growth and development. We invest in our employees and provide a work environment where you can grow and develop yourself. You will work on world-class projects and have a direct impact on the future of greenhouse technology.

Furthermore, you can count on:

  • A challenging position for 38 hours per week;
  • A gross salary between € 3,500 and € 6,000, depending on knowledge and experience;
  • 27 vacation days and 5 ADV days;
  • Hybrid working (4 days office, 1 day home);
  • Travel expenses reimbursement of € 0.23 per kilometer;
  • Bike lease at Lease a Bike;
  • A user-friendly HR app where you can easily manage your affairs;
  • Access to Alleo;
  • Pension.

Working at Dalsem offers you the chance to work on large, innovative projects where all disciplines within a high-tech greenhouse are developed in-house. This includes irrigation, climate control (heating/cooling), steel structures, shading systems, electrical installations, lighting, and more.

You will have the opportunity to participate in projects with an international impact. We deliver projects all over the world and sometimes work with local parties for complex solutions. For example, realizing the connection to the high-voltage grid for a high-tech greenhouse in New Zealand. This means you will collaborate with the procurement and engineering departments, but also engage directly with local parties to discuss price calculations and technical details. This way, you will encounter different cultures and markets.
