The Master's program in Public Relations and Digital Marketing at Media University prepares students for new communication professions emerging from the digital transformation of our society and culture. A variety of new fields have arisen at the intersection of Public Relations, Corporate, and Marketing Communication, for which established job titles are scarce: Social Media Editor, Influencer, YouTuber, etc.

These are professions of the future, for which the program provides intensive preparation by focusing on application-oriented research and the professional use of digital communication techniques, particularly in social media, embedded within integrated corporate and marketing communication.

Study Content and Teaching

The Master's program is the first German program to combine PR and digital marketing. It offers specializations in: Corporate and Financial Communication, NGOs, Associations and Foundations, Public Administration and Political Communication. The program prepares students for practice through various courses such as rhetoric, presentations, viral campaigns, and camera training.

The Master's degree (M.A.) can be achieved in a dual, practice-integrated format over four semesters. "Dual-practice-integrated" means that students work in a partner company parallel to their studies. In addition to imparting theoretical expertise, practical business projects are integrated into the curriculum. Media University assists applicants in finding a partner company based on its own corporate network.

Recognition

If 210 ECTS credits from the foundational degree program are already available, the program may be shortened by one semester.
