Akkodis is seeking a Python Data Engineering Technical Lead for a Contract with a client in Newark, NJ. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to lead scalable Python-based data engineering initiatives while coordinating end‑to‑end project delivery.

Pay Details

Rate Range: $41/hour to $54/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the design and optimization of scalable Python-based ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Leads architectural decision‑making using Python, Spark, and SQL across large‑scale data initiatives.
• Manages project planning, task breakdown, and delivery timelines to ensure successful execution.
• Coordinates cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, product, and cloud platform teams.
• Guides engineers through technical challenges while mentoring team members and supporting skill development.
• Ensures high‑quality data processing by implementing best practices around performance, reliability, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of overall engineering experience with proven technical leadership.
• Strong expertise in Python, Spark, SQL, and modern data engineering frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project delivery, lead teams, and oversee end‑to‑end data pipeline development.
