Job Description:

An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Python Developer with Node.js expertise to join an innovative and dynamic team on a contract basis. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while collaborating with a forward-thinking organization based in Johannesburg.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Python and Node.js, with a passion for developing scalable, efficient, and robust applications. They will play a critical role in building and maintaining innovative software solutions while contributing to a collaborative and tech-driven environment.

Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using Python and Node.js. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features. • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications. • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and version control. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong focus on backend development. • Hands-on experience with Node.js. • Familiarity with frameworks such as Flask, Django, or Express.js. • Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services. • Experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). • Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Advantages: • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, React, or Angular. • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
