Your Main Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI
• Responsibility for the new development and further development of our business-critical ETL processes and data processing pipelines, using Airflow and Python
• Analysis of existing data workflows and Python scripts
• Identification of performance bottlenecks and implementation of speed increases and efficiency improvements
• Development of SQL queries and optimization of the connection to our database systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Ensuring code quality through tests and creation of necessary Docker containers for the applications
• Collaboration with the DevOps team for operation in the GitLab / Nomad environment
• Documentation in Wiki and Jira

Your Professional Qualifications

• Successfully completed vocational training or a comparable qualification or professional experience in software development
• Several years of experience in Python backend development
• Experience in the conception and optimization of ETL processes
• Good knowledge of SQL (Oracle / PostgreSQL)
• Experience in performance tuning - analysis of slow code (profiling) and targeted optimization
• Experience in handling tickets (2nd/3rd level) and working with ITSM tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
