Python SQL Backend Developer

Position Overview

Infosys is seeking a Python SQL Backend Developer. In this role you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including requirements elicitation, application architecture definition and design. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts, deliver high quality code for modules, lead validation for testing, and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty while being part of a collaborative and learning culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Define and design application architecture and develop high-level design artifacts.
• Deliver high quality code, lead testing validations, and support implementation activities.

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT; Raleigh, NC; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ; Indianapolis, IN or be willing to relocate.
• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution or three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience and 2 years of development experience using the Python programming language.
• In-depth understanding of the Python software development ecosystem and tools (e.g., Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, sci-kit-learn, PyTorch).
• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship. (Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and propose solutions or alternatives.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with excellent client interfacing skills.
• Experience in developing Python and SQL database applications using the Node JS platform.
• Participation in client project review meetings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a global delivery environment.
• Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry is a plus.
• Able to work at a computer for extended periods and willing to travel extensively as per client and project needs.
