Role Description

We’re looking for enthusiastic candidates (0–1 year experience) who are excited to learn and grow in software testing.

This is a full-time on-site role for a QA Automation Engineer based in Tamil Nadu, India. The role involves designing and executing test cases, performing manual and automated software testing, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance processes. The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with developers to identify and resolve software issues while contributing to the development of efficient testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

▪ Understand project requirements and assist in writing test cases

▪ Execute manual test cases and report defects

▪ Assist in automation test script development

▪ Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing

▪ Support API testing using basic tools

▪ Collaborate with QA and development teams

▪ Participate in daily stand-ups and QA reviews

Skills Required

Manual Testing:

▪ Good understanding of SDLC & STLC

▪ Experience in test case creation, execution, and defect tracking

▪ Familiarity with different testing types (functional, regression, smoke, sanity)

▪ Basic understanding of test scenarios and test planning

Automation Testing (Basic to Intermediate):

▪ Hands-on or academic/project exposure to Selenium

▪ Working knowledge of Java or Python for automation

▪ Familiarity with TestNG / JUnit / PyTest

▪ Understanding of basic automation framework concepts

API Testing:

▪ Basic hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman or similar)

▪ Understanding of REST APIs, request/response, and status codes

Database Testing:

▪ Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN)

▪ Ability to validate data at the database level

Other Skills:

▪ Good analytical and problem-solving skills

▪ Ability to understand requirements and think from a testing perspective

▪ Good communication and collaboration skills

▪ Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
