QA Automation Engineer

Position Overview

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to support enterprise‑level QA automation initiatives. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable automation frameworks for Windows UI and web‑based applications, driving efficiency and quality across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for Windows UI applications, with extensibility to web platforms.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to define automation strategies and tool selection.
• Develop automated test suites (functional, regression, smoke) for Windows and web applications.
• Integrate automation with test management tools, CI/CD pipelines, and reporting systems.
• Define and enforce QA best practices, coding standards, and test design methodologies.
• Implement data‑driven testing, logging, reporting, and configuration management.
• Optimize test execution through parallelization and performance tuning.
• Evaluate automation tools and technologies; build POCs and perform ROI analysis.
• Support cloud‑based testing environments (AWS/Azure) and SaaS applications.
• Develop SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure testable requirements and risk‑based coverage.
• Extend automation to include web UI testing (e.g., Selenium) and load testing tools.
• Produce documentation, training materials, and mentor team members.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in QA automation framework design and implementation.
• Hands‑on expertise with Windows UI automation and web automation tools.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD integration and test management tools.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP applications.
• Exposure to transit or scheduling systems (e.g., HASTUS, Trapeze).
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools.
