QA Engineer

Innovative Information Technologies, Inc.

Blue Bell · On-site Contract Yesterday

About the role

Position: QA Engineer (W‑2 Only – No C2C)
Location: Blue Bell, PA (On‑site)
Contract Length: 6 + months (full‑time)
Rate: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned QA Engineer who believes that great software is built on collaboration—not just on finding bugs. In this hands‑on, on‑site role you’ll partner directly with developers and product stakeholders to drive reliability, improve quality, and ensure every release is robust and ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning & Documentation: Design comprehensive test strategies, create detailed test plans, and maintain clear, reusable documentation.
  • Manual & Exploratory Testing: Execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests across web and desktop applications, identifying edge‑case scenarios that automated suites may miss.
  • Defect Lifecycle Management: Log, triage, and track defects from discovery through resolution, ensuring clear communication with developers and timely closure.
  • Requirements Analysis: Work closely with product owners and developers to clarify requirements, provide early feedback, and help shape testable user stories.
  • Collaboration: Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives; act as a quality advocate across the development team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest process enhancements, contribute to test automation road‑maps, and mentor junior QA staff on best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Requirement Details
Experience Minimum 5 years of professional QA experience, preferably in a fast‑paced SaaS or enterprise software environment.
Test Planning Proven ability to develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.
Manual & Exploratory Testing Strong hands‑on testing skills with a focus on user‑centric, scenario‑driven testing.
Defect Management Expertise with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) and a solid understanding of the defect lifecycle.
Requirements Analysis Ability to interpret functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria; comfortable asking clarifying questions.
Tools Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Communication Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey complex issues clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Location Must be able to work on‑site in Blue Bell, PA (no remote or hybrid options).

Preferred (but not required)

  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, JavaScript) for ad‑hoc test automation
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

What We Offer

  • W‑2 Employment Only – No C2C arrangements. All payroll, taxes, and benefits handled through our company.
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits after 30 days of continuous service.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holidays.
  • Professional development budget for certifications, conferences, or training.
