QA Engineer (Automation)

Overview

The QA Engineer ensures the quality, reliability, and performance of cloud-native applications through automated testing frameworks and structured validation processes. This role works closely with developers, architects, and DevOps engineers to embed quality throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test suites for APIs, microservices, and UI components.

• Implement test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or REST Assured.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and test strategies.

• Conduct root cause analysis and ensure defects are documented and resolved.

• Validate cloud deployments, API integrations, and workflow orchestration.

• Ensure test data management and environment readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years in QA automation roles.

• Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, C#, Java).

• Experience testing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and test plans.

• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and RESTful APIs.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
