About the role
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in manual and/or automation testing of enterprise-grade applications.
- Good understanding of Global Banking & Financial Markets domain, including Capital Markets and Investment Banking.
- Experience in testing workflows related to trade lifecycle (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office).
- Knowledge of asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, and Commodities.
- Familiarity with trade processing systems, order management systems (OMS), and risk & settlement systems.
- Experience in validating trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing for large transactional datasets.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST services, FIX protocol understanding is a plus).
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar.
- Understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (preferred).
- Familiarity with messaging systems like MQ/Kafka used in market data and trade processing.
- Awareness of financial regulations (MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, Basel III) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact with global stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements related to global markets and trading platforms.
- Design and execute test cases covering trade lifecycle, pricing, risk, and settlement workflows.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for capital market applications.
- Validate end-to-end trade processing, including trade capture, enrichment, validation, and settlement.
- Work with market data feeds and validate pricing, reference data, and transaction data flows.
- Identify, log, track, and manage defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with traders, business analysts, developers, and operations teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.
- Execute API, database, and message-based testing for distributed systems.
- Support UAT testing, release validation, and production sanity checks.
- Perform data reconciliation and reporting validation across systems.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements.
- Proactively identify risks, escalate issues, and drive them toward resolution.
- Provide status updates on testing progress, deliverables, and quality metrics initiatives
