The AZUR SPACE Solar Power GmbH is the European market leader and a global player in the development and production of III/V multi-junction solar cells for satellite and terrestrial concentrator PV applications. Since 1964, well over 500 satellites have been equipped with our solar cells, which now achieve efficiencies of up to 32% and the world's highest radiation stability. In terrestrial applications, AZUR's concentrator solar cells achieve efficiencies of up to 46%. AZUR SPACE also produces III/V semiconductor components for optoelectronics and power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product conformity according to product specification and relevant standards (e.g., ESA / AIAA)
• Control and further develop central quality processes (requirements verification, control and test planning, non-conformity and change management)
• Approve quality documentation and deliveries (e.g., CoC/CoA)
• Process customer complaints and internal deviations, including root cause analysis and action control
• Derive and implement improvements to stabilize and optimize production processes
• Ensure quality for new products, processes, and technologies
• Continuously increase the quality and efficiency of our processes in close coordination with engineering and production
• Promote a quality and efficiency-oriented culture through the use of suitable metrics and KPIs

Profile

• Completed degree in materials science, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, semiconductor technology
• Professional experience in quality management of a manufacturing company, ideally in an ISO-certified organization
• Experience with systematic quality methods and statistical tools, e.g., APQP, Control Plan, 8D, 5-Why, SPC, Cp/Cpk, MSA, FMEA or DoE
• Knowledge of relevant norms and standards, ideally from the aerospace or high-tech environment
• Experience in complaint management and root cause analysis of quality deviations
• Strong communication skills and entrepreneurial thinking in exchange with internal and external interfaces
• Very good German and good English skills
• Knowledge of solar cell physics or semiconductor materials, as well as experience with electrical, mechanical, or optical measurement technology are advantageous
• Additional qualifications, e.g., FMEA moderator or Six Sigma
