About the role

About

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong experience in the Retail Automotive domain and cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test strategies across web applications, APIs, cloud-native microservices, and integration layers. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality across our digital retail and automotive platforms deployed on modern cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools
  • Write and execute BDD test scenarios using Cucumber (Gherkin syntax) for integration and end-to-end testing
  • Perform comprehensive API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar
  • Develop and execute integration test suites to validate data flow across microservices, catalogs, and search platforms
  • Test cloud-native applications deployed on Kubernetes (GKE/EKS/AKS), Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or equivalent serverless platforms
  • Validate event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub, Kafka, or similar messaging systems
  • Test containerized microservices (Docker) across staging and production-like environments
  • Monitor and validate application behavior using cloud-native observability tools (Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, platform engineers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test acceptance criteria
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing across releases
  • Validate data integrity across product catalogs, fitment data, pricing, and inventory systems in the automotive retail domain
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Cloud Build)
  • Provide test metrics, reports, and quality dashboards to stakeholders

Must-Have Skills

Compute Testing applications on GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, EKS, Lambda, or equivalent
Messaging & Events Experience testing event‑driven systems using Pub/Sub, Kafka, EventBridge, or similar
Data & Storage Familiarity with testing against BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Cloud Storage, S3, or equivalent
CI/CD Experience integrating tests in Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar
Observability Ability to use Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog for test validation and debugging

Domain Knowledge (Preferred)

  • Understanding of automotive parts catalog workflows (search, fitment lookup, part compatibility)
  • Experience testing e-commerce/retail platforms (product search, cart, checkout, pricing)
  • Familiarity with B2B and B2C retail business models
  • Knowledge of product data pipelines (import, transformation, enrichment) on cloud‑native infrastructure
  • Experience with cloud‑based search and recommendation engines (Retail Search, Vertex AI, Elasticsearch)
