About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer / Software Tester to join our remote development team for a new app currently in its final development stage.
The project integrates mobile and web technologies, featuring interactive user experiences, payment integrations, and real-time engagement features.
As part of a small, highly skilled development team, you will be responsible for testing and quality assurance process across web and mobile platforms — ensuring stability, scalability, and security before global deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both mobile and web platforms.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to verify functionality, usability, and cross-device compatibility.
- Perform integration testing for API endpoints, authentication flows, and third-party services.
- Execute performance, load, and stress testing to assess scalability under peak usage.
- Conduct penetration and vulnerability testing to identify and help remediate potential security risks.
- Test end-to-end payment and wallet workflows to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Verify media upload, content rendering, and interactive features for optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed bug reports, perform regression testing, and track fixes through project management tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers and the product manager to ensure timely delivery of stable releases.
- Provide final QA sign‑off before product launch.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in software testing for mobile and web applications.
- Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Experience using automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium).
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Insomnia.
- Skilled in performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust, etc.).
- Solid understanding of penetration and security testing (OWASP Top 10, etc.).
- Proficiency in version control and CI/CD systems (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and communication.
- Experience testing transactional or payment‑enabled platforms is a plus.
- Previous experience working within Agile or startup environments preferred.
