QE Lead / QA Lead - API and Web Testing (Manual + Automation)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering (QE) Lead specializing in API and Web Testing (Manual + Automation) to join the CNBC team. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery across web applications and APIs, while leading QA initiatives and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. we are actively looking for strong & relevant profiles.

Client is specifically prioritizing candidates with Playwright + TypeScript framework experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA efforts for web applications and API testing projects
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define test strategies
• Perform manual API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger
• Validate API endpoints, payloads, and responses for accuracy, performance, and reliability
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and REST Assured
• Ensure automation frameworks align with Agile practices and support in-sprint testing
• Troubleshoot and debug issues using tools like Git, Jira, and Jenkins
• Mentor junior team members and promote QA best practices

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Web and API Testing (Manual + Automation)
• Hands-on expertise with Selenium, Java, TestNG, and REST Assured
• Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger
• Solid understanding of automation frameworks for web and APIs
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Strong experience in Playwright and TypeScript-based frameworks (highly preferred)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter
• Exposure to modern web and API testing technologies
