Required
- 12–18 years of experience in QA / Quality Engineering
- Proven leadership of enterprise QA teams (10+ members)
- Strong hands‑on expertise in two or more :
- Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress
- Performance: LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad
- API Testing: Postman, RestAssured
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps integration
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models
- Holding Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to define and scale QA strategies
- Strong stakeholder management and client‑facing communication skills
Preferred tooling experience
- Experience in ServiceNow testing (ATF / platform testing)
- Exposure to enterprise platforms (ERP, ITSM, cloud ecosystems)
- Experience in managed services delivery models

Role Overview
We are seeking a QA Practice Head / Director to establish and lead a scalable, execution‑driven Quality Engineering function for a large enterprise client. This role is accountable for end‑to‑end quality outcomes, driving an automation‑first and continuous testing strategy, and building a high‑performing QA practice aligned to Agile, multi‑project delivery.
You will lead a lean, IC‑driven QA model, manage tooling and licenses (including performance platforms), and ensure predictable, high‑quality releases across ~10 concurrent projects.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Engineering Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute enterprise‑wide QA strategy across:
- Functional testing
- Automation testing
- Performance & non‑functional testing
- Establish QA governance frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Drive transformation toward automation‑first and continuous testing models
- Align testing with business objectives and user expectations
- Define and execute enterprise‑wide QA strategy across:
Managed Testing Services Ownership
- Own end‑to‑end QA delivery across enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, integrated systems)
- Manage parallel Agile execution across ~10 active projects
- Ensure strong coverage of:
- Application‑specific testing
- End‑to‑end workflow validation across integrations
- Own quality KPIs:
- Release quality
- Defect leakage
- Cycle time and regression efficiency
- Act as primary QA leader for client stakeholders
Test Strategy, Scope & Planning
- Define test scope and objectives (functional, integration, regression, performance)
- Implement risk‑based and scenario‑driven testing approaches
- Establish defect management lifecycle, SLAs, and reporting standards
- Ensure testability of requirements and early QA involvement
Tooling & License Management
- Own and optimize the QA tools ecosystem, including:
- Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress
- Performance: LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad
- API Testing: Postman, RestAssured
- Test Management: JIRA, TestRail, ALM
- Manage tool licensing, utilization, and cost optimization
- Evaluate and introduce modern, scalable testing tools
- Own and optimize the QA tools ecosystem, including:
Team Leadership & Operating Model
- Lead and scale a 10–15 member QA team (functional + automation + performance)
- Operate a flat, execution‑driven IC model:
- QAs independently own modules/projects
- Minimal hierarchy, high accountability
- Align QA capacity to multi‑project sprint demand (1–2 projects per QA)
- Mentor team and define explicit capability and growth paths
Automation & Performance Engineering
- Build and scale automation frameworks:
- UI, API, regression automation
- Ensure automation is embedded within QA roles (not siloed)
- Define and execute performance testing strategy:
- Load, stress, scalability, and reliability
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
- Build and scale automation frameworks:
Governance, Metrics & Reporting
- Establish structured QA governance and sprint‑level tracking
- Define and track KPIs:
- Test execution & coverage
- Automation coverage
- Defect density & leakage
- Regression effectiveness
- Performance benchmarks
- Deliver executive‑level dashboards and insights
Resource Planning & Transition Management
- Plan QA capacity, skill mix, and environment readiness
- Address capability gaps through onboarding and KT
- Lead vendor transition (2‑week window):
- Recorded KT sessions
- Documentation and test asset transition
- Ensure rapid stabilization and continuity of delivery
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Drive efficiency, cost optimization, and quality uplift
- Introduce DevOps, AI‑driven testing, and optimization practices
- Build a scalable QA practice reusable across enterprise programs
Requirements
- 12–18 years of experience in QA / Quality Engineering
