QA Tester (SOAP/REST Web Services)

You will conduct end-to-end testing on applications and technology to ensure business, technical, and functional requirements are met. Responsibilities Design and execute test scripts based on test strategies to identify defects prior to production. Perform manual, automated, and backend service testing, including integrations with upstream and downstream systems. Manage testing risks by documenting them clearly and taking preventative action when risks become unacceptable. Decompose requirements into testable cases covering positive, negative, and varied data scenarios. Provide verbal and written status updates to stakeholders and facilitate communication during development cycles. Required Skills 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance. SME-level expertise in Web service testing, including SOAP and REST. Strong understanding of XML schema and JSON. Proficiency in API testing and testing backend services. Advanced automation skills using Selenium and BDD Cucumber. Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing and database schema review. Experience with UNIX and Shell scripting. Knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Ability to work within an Agile development lifecycle. Proficiency in Test Planning and the testing process. Preferred Skills Experience with JIRA and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools. Exposure to framework creation and automated testing processes.
