QA Testing Engineer/in (Remote – 20h) Werkstudent/in

About

Hi, we are looking for you as a QA Testing Engineer (Remote) for our Shopify agency!

We work with strong D2C brands like Snocks, LiveFresh, or Rosental on their online shops and design layouts, develop features, and advise on Shopify.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end testing (UX / UI) of new features within the development process – before go-live
• Analyze app functions and requirements early in the development cycle and derive test cases
• Define, structure, and document test cases, test flows, and acceptance criteria
• Ensure user-friendly operation of our Shopify apps – in close collaboration with Design, Product, and Development
• Validate technical workflows, edge cases, and feature completeness
• Systematically capture, reproduce, and report bugs – including clear steps for reproduction and prioritization
• Actively contribute feedback to the development process to iteratively improve quality

Requirements

• Strong ability to empathize with the user's perspective, question flows, and identify weaknesses
• Structured way of working with high diligence and attention to detail
• Good eye for design, consistency, and intuitive usability
• Very good communication skills – both in exchange with the product, development, and design team
• Willingness and ability to familiarize yourself with complex technical processes and product logic
• Understanding of agile development processes (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) is an advantage
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Linear, Jira, GitHub Issues) is desirable
• Basic knowledge in the area of eCommerce or Shopify is a plus, but not a must
